Philippe Delaby started at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tournai at the age of fourteen. There he studied academic drawing . His first artworks, treating historical stories were published in comic book Tintin in 1987: 'Richard Coeur de Lion,' 'Arthur au Royaume de l'Impossible' (scenarios by Y. Duval), 'Bran' (scenario by Vernal) and the series 'L'étoile Polaire' (scenario by Delisse). In 1998, Philippe Delaby has started a new impressive and successfull series, at the roman time of the emperor NERON (story: Jean Dufaux): Murena.'
