Dino Attanasio emigrated from Milano to Belgium at the age of 20. He joined there the magazine TINTIN which publicated many of his work until 1968. One of the most famous had been written at first by René Goscinny and is SPAGHETTI. He also worked for Spirou (“Belles histories de l’Oncle Paul”). As Gerald Forton, he is also one of the first illustrators of the famous Bob Morane, written by Henri Vernes. Attanasio also illustrated the series “Modeste et Pompon”, after Franquin. He is also the author of “Johnny Goodbye”, “Bandoneon” and “Marconi’s”.
Then, he realized a beautiful watercolor adaptation of the “Décaméron” from Boccace. His capacity to alternate from seriocomic graphic style to realism is amazing and proves that he is part of the greatest Comic Artists.
