Andreï Arinouchkine pursued two art studies before he published his first comic. This album, titled 'Waterloo', was published in 1993 by publisher Makhaon in Moscow. For the Russian market, he has created over 120 covers for novels in various genres (science-fiction, detective). Arinouchkine has also illustrated Russian folk tales and children's books. From 1999 he cooperated with the French scenarist Corbeyran, with whom he made a comic adaptation of the Russian traditional tale 'L'Oiseau de Feu' for publisher Casterman. In 2003, he began 'Hyrknoss' with François Froideval at Casterman.
