Gallery Napoleon, a specialist on comic books

HAUSMAN René

René HAUSMAN is an artist with amazing atmospheres and colors, a draftsman of beautiful brown beauties and expressive cans, a chorus of nature and animals.
At the age of eighteen, he met Raymond Macherot and dropped his studies to embark on drawing, illustrating advertisements in the local paper and making images for fixed school films.

In 1958 for SPIROU's special spring issue, he improvised an illustration of the animal kingdom, then a second ... followed by hundreds of others!
After a remarkable passage from the charming "Zunie" in LE TROMBONE ILLUSTRE, Hausman approaches the great sagas of heroic fantasy with her new heroine "Laiyna", on scenarios by Pierre Dubois: "The Stone Fortress" (1985) Then "The Twilight of the Elves". When "Free Room" welcomes these two episodes, he will illustrate for this prestigious collection two scenarios of Yann, "The Three white hairs" and "The Prince of the squirrels", constructed to its disproportion.
