BERNARD CHAROY born in Nant-Le-Grand, France, 1931 Established French ILLUSTRATOR whose FIGURATIVE works often feature Pin-up. Charoy trained in painting, drawing and lithography with illustrators and graphic artists in Montmartre, Paris. Between 1960 and 1974 he worked as an illustrator for both French and international magazines. Political portraits of De Gaulle, Churchill and Mao featured among his work. Charoy also provided the illustrations for the French translation of Gulag Archipelago by Solzhenitsen.
