Amateur comics from an early age, he produced from 12 years of flip book of TINTIN. But only 18 years discovering and historical series blockbuster Passengers wind for Glénat, TURF that decided to make his comics work. He then went to the Beaux Arts School in Angouleme, where he landed in the same class as TIBURCE OGER (GORN) WENDLING (Lights of Amalou) MASBOU (De Capes et de Crocs), LOYER (Victor). The school teaches him nothing for comic art, but it gives him the opportunity to do 24 hours on 24, 7 days 7, allowing it to grow.
After a short story first published in black and white in 1990 in Volume 1 of the Children of the Nile, TURF joins MOUCLIER Joel for the series to create the Surf City Walls which he co-wrote the screenplay for the first volume. The association TURF / MOUCLIER with hooded, TURF creates its own set, and draws the first volume of the Ship of Fools in 1993. Made entirely of direct colors, its pages are real tables illustrating beautifully mysterious world over.
