Gallery Napoleon, a specialist on comic books

DURAND Matthieu

Matthieu DURAND is a french illustrator and comic book artist, who specializes in aviation comics.

When he was about 10 years old, he discovered the comics of Jean-Michel Charlier, especially the "Adventures of Tanguy and Laverdure" (Dargaud) series, in which the drawing style of Albert Uderzo fascinated him. His readings shaped his passion for aviation and his professional goal.

In 2006, he drew his first dedective series called "Jack Blues".

He was then invited to collaborate with "Team Rafale" (Zephyr) et three years later, he is charged with the graphical conception of the series "Rafale Leader". Lastly, after eight albums of aerial adventures, in 2014, he joins the Dargaud Editions to draw the "Classic" collection of the adventures of Tanguy and Lavendure.
