ICAR, FRANCARD 

Icar (alias Franck Picard or Francard) is an artist affected by a profound deafness. During long and difficult educational years in schools specialized for deaf persons, who will lead(drive) him(it) successively to Ferns, Rouen, and Nevers, Francard succeeds in acquiring the oral language and in following secondary education. In Rouen, he sees frequently very young, the School of Fine Arts. He rises to Paris in 1986 to enter the school of Applied arts Olivier de Serres where he penetrates only for the first time into the hearing world. He obtains, as an external candidate, a high school diploma F12 (drawing) in 1987, then a BTS in interior design in 1989. In 88-89, Francard assists Khrist Mirror for the animation of a workshop BD (Forum of Halle). In 89-90, he follows at the same time the National Fine Arts Academy
