KRINGS Jean-Marc

Born in Anderlecht, Jean-Marc KRINGS attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and at Woluwé-Saint-Lambert, where he took courses by Guy Brasseur. He became the assistant of Dupa and worked as a background artist for Walli. Later on, he worked in the Saint-Luc clinic, where he illustrated medical articles for the hospital's paper as a side activity. In 2004, he illustrated 'Le Guide Junior de Filles' from scripts by Jacky Goupil and Sylvia Douillet at Vents d'Ouest.

Since 2004, he is also a regular contributor to Lanfeust Mag, with his gag series 'Inquisitor' (scripts by Pierre Veys). In late 2004, Krings was assigned by Éditions Dupuis to take over the adventures of 'Violine', a series created by Fabrice Tarrin and Tronchet. He assisted Tarrin on the third album and then drew two more on his own, before the series was cancelled in 2007. He then drew the third album in the series 'Les Informaticiens' as well as 'Livraison Express' for Éditions Bamboo in 2008 and 2009.
